If you have plenty of money to spend on a good motorbike game then MotoGP or it's sequel has to be the number one choice. However the only choice at the budget end of things, if you haven't got much money, is Superbike World Championship. The game offers both an Arcade mode and Simulation mode with practice, single race and championship modes on offer. You can even have multiplayer races too, which is always a very nice bonus to have with a budget game.
Graphically the game looks dated; it is four years old after all. The game can only be run in 640x480 and 800x600, which is quite low by today's standards. Having said this though it doesn't look that bad and on any of today's PCs it flies along at a frantic framerate. The game is supposed to be Windows XP compatible but I couldn't get it to remain stable under Windows XP, even with the included patch and running the game in compatibility mode, things were not any better.
Superbike World Championship is absolutely fine for deaf gamers as indeed most racing games are. For less than £5 it certainly is worth it, although it is more of an arcade racer than a simulation. There is no damage model in the game so no matter how you crash you'll always be able to stand back up and get back into the race. If you're looking for a solid two-wheeled racer though you are not going to do better than Super World Championship.
Recommendation:
A good two-wheeled arcade racer that can even be played
online. I did have trouble under Windows XP though.
Suitability for deaf gamers: No real problems.
Overall Game Rating: 3/5
