Bullfrog
have always been known for their unusual strategy games and the
Dungeon Keeper series was one of their best. Whilst this sequel
was as good as the original game it's still great fun to play and
even today is well worth buying if you never played it at the time
of it's original release.
Basically
you have to construct an underground citadel and provide the right
facilities for all sorts of hellish creatures that will in return
do your bidding to bring down all manner of goodie, goodie heroes.
As well as the campaign you have stand-alone missions and multiplayer
games available. It's all good fun but it does get repetitive, especially
in the single player gamer. Nevertheless it's one of the more original
games out there and if you fancy controlling vampires and imps then
this could be your thing. Graphically it still stands up well against
todays games.
Dungeon
Keeper 2 is fine for deaf gamers. The cutscenes are subtitled and
verbal messages you receive appear as text messages, indicated by
flashing 'i' icon at the bottom of the screen. These messages can
be read in your own time too which is always a bonus.
Recommendation:
Well worth a purchase if you like games that are unusual. It's not
as good as the original Dungeon Keeper but it comes pretty close.
Suitability for deaf gamers: No problems at all.
Cutscenes are subtitled and other speech can be read by clicking
on the flashing 'i' icon that appears at the bottom of the screen.
Overall
Game Rating: 4.0/5
