It is incredible to think that for only £4.99 you can now pick up titles as good as TOCA Touring Car Championship. On its release back in 1997 TOCA was hailed as a classic by more than a few magazines. Eight different teams, two of which are Renault and Vauxhall, are combined with eight different tracks that include Silverstone and Brands Hatch. There is the opportunity to race through the complete championship with realistic weather conditions thrown in for good measure.

The game supports all manner of steering wheels and joysticks as well as the keyboard. The action is fast and furious and it is actually difficult to win a race which is a nice change. The only things that can be said against TOCA is that the AI drivers are occasionally a tad over aggressive and attempt to smack everything out of their way. Also it is unfortunate that TOCA 2 is also on budget at around £9.99 because it improved on the original in every way possible. That said though TOCA is great value for money and is more of a challenge than TOCA 2 so even if you have the sequel the original game is still a worthy purchase, especially at £4.99.
