Dancing Stage Party Edition Published
by Konami So you may be looking at the title and thinking 'What are Deaf Gamers doing reviewing a dancing game with music?' Well we don't normally review titles such as this but when the title arrived in the post I thought that some of you may be caught up with the current dance mat craze that's going on so it would only be fair of me to comment on the game. So let's get on with it. First off let me just say that although you can play the game with a gamepad it is strongly advised that you have a dance mat in order to play the title in the way that it was meant to be played. If you've played a game like this before then you'll know the score. Directional arrows fly up the screen and you have to press the right one at the appropriate time. Things start simple but as you improve and tackle the more difficult levels you'll soon be working up a sweat trying to keep up with things. When you are finished you are given a score based on how good your timing was. This seems simple but it all gets fiendishly difficult. Of course the gameplay comes into it's own when there is two of you playing against each other with your own dance mats. Of course the Party Edition is packed with music, which of course will not interest the deaf gamer unless that subwoofer can be ramped up until the whole floor is jumping but as a calorie burner or an exercise aid it can be a great deal of fun. The title isn't going to be fully suitable for a deaf gamer. As well as the music there are also some verbal comments that are made during a game such as encouraging comments and these are not subtitled. We aren't going to grade this review as a result of this (it's here for information let's say). However if you have a dance mat for your PlayStation or PlayStation 2 then you will probably enjoy yourself with this title. Overall Game Rating: Not Rated. Although primarily not aimed at deaf gamers if you've a dance mat and wish to put it to good use you may enjoy Dancing Stage Party Edition. Deaf
Gamers comment: Not really suitable
unless you enjoy using a dance mat. |
