Largely an action adventure game, although it does contain elements from a variety of genres, The Nomad Soul was an ambitious title to say the least. The game is set in the world of Omikron. Omikron is a gloomy futuristic world which is desperately in need of your help. The game begins with your soul being transferred to Kay'l, a police officer. Unlike other games where you play the same character all through the game, in The Nomad Soul you will possess many characters in order to complete your objective. If your present character gets killed then you will possess whoever is nearest to you.

The game still looks impressive, even three years after it's initial release. In fact it's one of a few budget titles that will require a decent graphics card to get the best out of it. The reason the game needs a decent specification PC is because it tries to recreate a living, breathing world. If you walk around the streets you'll notice plenty of vehicles and people and all this activity will take its toll on a weak graphics card.

The game is fine for deaf gamer. All conversations and information is in text. In fact many of the conversations contain no voice. The only thing I would comment on is that there are one or two instances where it is difficult to read some of the text. An example of this is the rings note (that explains how to use the rings to save the game and buy advice) that you pick up at the start of the game. The font that has been used on the rings note is pretty difficult to read.

The Nomad Soul is highly recommended for those of you that like action adventure games. The style of the game is unusual because it takes elements out of quite a few genres. The game's story is a good one and the sheer length of the game will ensure that you will get excellent value for your £4.99.

Recommendation: Highly Recommended. A unique and enjoyable game.
Suitability for deaf gamers: Suitable.

Overall Game Rating: 4.0/5
