MDK 2 Published
by Sold Out Software Kurt Hectic returns in MDK 2. Unlike in MDK though, this time he is not alone and is joined by Dr. Hawkins and Max the robotic dog and of course they have to save the Earth, again. If this sounds wacky, it's because it is. You control all three characters at various parts of the game and they all play very differently. In fact, like MDK the game has the potential to be a classic but sadly it's also like MDK in that it's appeal will be limited. Playing the game becomes repetitive very quickly and it's unlikely that you'll want to finish it, unless you have the patience of Job. The game is full of niggly jumping puzzles that just plain irritate. The exception here has to be Max's level which plays more like a shooter and offers some relief from the jumping levels. The game has potential but it's just not realised. The game has an option to turn on subtitles but for some reason not all speech is subtitled. You could buy the game but you have to ask yourself if it's worth the bother. The graphics don't look that great and have aged awfully. The upside of this though is that it will run on practically any computer that was made in the last five years. Recommendation:
Not Recommended. It looks poor and plays similarly. Overall Game Rating: 1.5/5 |
