Jedi Knight puts you in the role of Kyle Katarn. Your father has just been killed by a Dark Jedi and now you are out to get revenge. Jedi Knight allows you the choice to either become a 'good' Jedi or a Dark Jedi. The decision is made by your actions throughout the game such as if you shoot innocent people then this sways you over to the Dark side. The action in the game is wonderful and its easily one of the best FPS games ever made. The pack also comes with the Mysteries of the Sith add-on which effectively doubles the size of the game and gives you access to over 30 levels. In the Mysteries of the Sith add-on you get to play as Mara Jade for most of the game. Both Jedi and Mysteries are excellent, have lots of great force powers and are brilliant for deaf gamers.
On loading the game the first thing you see is the text prologue going up the screen just like in the Star Wars films. This gives you a good background to the story right at the beginning of the game. You have to goto the setup menu to enable subtitles on the cut-scenes. It is strange that the initial cutscene after the opening credits remains un-subtitled though as everything else in the game is. This game has good quality graphics (although they are slightly dated by today's standards) and excellent control. You use the arrow keys to move (or the more familiar W,A,S,D keys) and the mouse to look around and to fire your blaster just as you would in any FPS. This was easy to get into because the subtitles meant that I could understand what was happening and what I was meant to do. An enjoyable game.

Recommendation:
Highly Recommended. A cracking Star Wars FPS.
Suitability for deaf gamers: Suitable but strange to see initial cutscene remains
un-subtitled.
