Gunman Chronicles Published
by Sold Out Software You may remember Gunman Chronicles from a few years ago. It was originally a downloadable mod for Half-Life that soon became a retail product (in a much improved form of course) in it's own right. Of course we all know that Half-Life was a complete disaster for a deaf gamer with it's lack of subtitles and no visual clues at all. Unfortunately Gunman Chronicles shares the same traits as Half-Life and is a game that deaf gamers should try to avoid. You play as Major Archer (who looks like a kind of Space Cowboy). You are in control of the Gunmen. Not long after you took charge you encountered an alien race known as the Xenomes. In the encounter your general fell in battle and was presumed dead. However he was not dead and has long since held the Gunman responsible for deserting him. Bitter and twisted, the General plots and carries out his revenge. Of course it's up to you to stop him. Graphically the game looks dated, not bad though. The only real thing you can say against the game, although that one thing is highly important, is that it's just completely deaf gamer unfriendly. There are a whole heap of classic titles that can be bought in the Sold Out range for £4.99 that are great for deaf gamers but sadly this isn't one of them. Recommendation:
Not Recommended. Very difficult for deaf gamers. Overall Game Rating: 1/5 |
