You are
Manuel Calavera, a travel
agent at the Department of Death. The basic idea of your job is to give luxury
packages that journey to the place of eternal rest to deserving souls. However
corruption is rife and Manny seems to be being conspired against. The final
straw is when Manny makes sure he gets a saintly client, Mercedes Colomar, only
to find that out that according to his computer she isn't entitled to any thing.
His boss fires Manny after finding that Miss Colomar left the DoD without any
package when she was entitled to a ride on the Number Nine express train that
turns a four year journey into a four minute one. Aided by Sal Limonez and Glottis,
Manny goes after Miss Colomar.
The game is hailed by many as a classic. Originally the game did not have subtitled
cutscenes (they still have to be knocked on in the options menu) but thankfully
in this version it does. The method of control is either keyboard or joystick
and as a result it feels a little awkward at times. To highlight an object you
can interact with Manny moves his head to look at the object. All the high production
quality of a LucasArts game is present in Grim Fandango and it will keep you
busy for ages. If you liked any of the previous LucasArts adventure games then
you will love Grim Fandango.

Recommendation:
Highly Recommended. One of LucasArts finest games.
