Okay let's get straight to the point and tell you that Grand Prix Legends is the best driving simulation that has ever graced the PC. In fact unless you are used to driving 60's racing cars this game will provide a whole new experience. Should you be used to games such as Need for Speed or Grand Prix (1,2 or 3), Grand Prix Legends will make you realise how artificial those games are. The cars slide and drift and even bounce which is scary to say the least. Forget using the keyboard or the gamepad as this game is useless without a good steering wheel. A wheel allows you to get a proper feel for the car and believe me, you need every bit of help you can muster with this game.

Races in the 60s were far more demanding. The tracks were a real challenge. The monster track being the Nurburgring which is 14 miles long. The attention to detail by Papyrus is staggering. All the authentic drivers are here as are 5 classic cars. The Ferrari 312 is a real beast and is probably the best vehicle in any game ever.

The major problem with this game is that it demands time to learn the driving skills, it is no arcade racer. Although a Pentium 90 is the minimum processor I would recommend at least a Pentium 2 300MHz. Originally the game did not support direct 3d cards but a patch is now available (www.papy.com) that enables you to use most 3D cards so this is no longer a problem.

If you are serious about your racing simulations then there is only one to consider and that is Grand Prix Legends but if you like your action more arcadey then steer clear as this will prove far too difficult a challenge.

Recommendation: Highly Recommended. A great simulation not a game.
Suitability for deaf gamers: Very Suitable.
