Fund & Benefactors

Dear Friends

As I’m sure you all appreciate, keeping up with the latest consoles and PC hardware is expensive. Deaf Gamers has been run as a hobby for almost eight years now and during that time the expenses have mostly been covered by me and my family. This is no longer possible however. 2007 saw the release of the PlayStation 3 here in Europe and it was released at the astronomical price of £425. Naturally this was a difficult amount of money to obtain. Thanks to the people listed below, we were able to raise £329 toward the cost of the console. Without the help from these generous people we would not be reviewing PlayStation 3 titles.

It’s often been suggested to me that users be charged to access the Deaf Gamers reviews. This is a course of action I would rather not take. The Internet should be accessible for all and Deaf Gamers, a website that attempts to show deaf gamers which games are accessible, should not become inaccessible in any way, shape or form. Personally I would rather rely on the goodwill of those who value the service that Deaf Gamers offers.  As we move into 2008 the need to upgrade PC hardware will grow and so will the need to cover the costs that are involved. Any donations that are made (no matter how small) will be put to good use and help sustain Deaf Gamers.
