Frontline Attack: War Over Europe is a World War II based 3D RTS game. You can control the Allies, Germans or Russian Forces. Each army has a campaign and there are 15 extra missions to play in skirmish mode if you wish. You can also play the game over a LAN or the Internet. As an RTS game it’s enjoyable but it doesn't feel as good as games such as Sudden Strike or Blitzkrieg.

Using the same game engine as Earth 2150, Frontline Attack was always going to inherit the same camera problems of that game. The camera never seems to allow you a good view of the action and given the nature of the game that can make things awkward. Still all things considered the game engine still looks good, which is impressive because it was one of the first successful 3D RTS game engines.

Generally the game is fine for deaf gamers. There are a couple of issues though such as alarms not being shown visually to help notify the deaf gamer of an impending attack but in every other respect it’s fine.

Recommendation: Frontline Attack may not have set any benchmarks in the World War II RTS genre but it's a solid game that should appeal to RTS gamers.

Suitability for deaf gamers: Some problems but generally Frontline Attack is OK for deaf gamers.

Overall Game Rating: 3.5/5
