The only way to describe Evolva is different. It's basically a third person shooter. You control a team (4 members) of Genohunters who kill and absorb their enemies. The Genohunters make use of the DNA from their victims as they take on their characteristics. It's a original aspect of the game that actually deserves some praise but as a whole the gameplay isn't really up to scratch.

The game plays out over 12 lands and across 3 continents and allows the use of various weapons such as Fire Breath and Giant Claw. The levels are rather bland though and the actual gameplay gets woefully repetitive. You can play the game online though and you can even exchange any of your Genohunters online too. There's plenty of possibilities with the development of your Genohunters as this is one game where you really are what you eat.

There isn't much in the game to trouble a deaf gamer but the tutorial, which is carried out in Internet Explorer, from an icon on the desktop, is virtually all in speech and is useless for the deaf gamer. The graphics are OK but for some reason I could only select a really low resolution or a really high one such as 1600x1200. At least it ran perfectly smooth at this high resolution.

Recommendation: OK. It's a little strange but can get repetitive.
Suitability for deaf gamers: OK. The tutorial is useless though.

Overall Game Rating: 2.5/5
