Adventure Pinball: Forgotten Island

If you're the kind of person who likes to buy games that are different then this is the one for you. Created by the developers of Unreal and using the Unreal game engine this is a wacky interpretation of pinball. What's even stranger is the fact that it actually plays very well indeed. Using nothing more than a mouse to control the game means it's all very intuitive.

There are 9 different levels in all. During a level it's possible to go from one table to another and back again which can get a little disorientating. As a pinball game it's OK but unless you're a pinball nut it gets old very quickly. The game has a story mode, where you'll unlock the other tables, and there are a variety of goals that need to be achieved but in all honesty it's just basically pinball and the goals are achieved without you consciously trying to complete them.

Not everything is subtitled but all the goals are so you'll have no problem playing the game which is all that matters in a game of this nature. It's probably not for the pinball purist but it's a decent game nevertheless.

Recommendation: Worth a go just for it's novelty value but don't expect anything that will keep you playing for long.

Suitability for deaf gamers: All of your goals are shown in text and that's what's important.

Overall Game Rating: 2.5/5
